Reseller FAQ

  1. What am I required to do as a Bluebeam Reseller?
    • Actively promote Bluebeam products to your customers
    • Become educated on Bluebeam products
    • Represent Bluebeam professionally
    • Include Bluebeam products on your company website
    • Maintain updated Bluebeam html links on your website
    • Keep sales team and other members of your company updated with current information


  2. What is required to become a Bluebeam Reseller?

    3. Resellers must be established businesses possessing sales relationships with CAD or Windows users in the following industries: AEC, Legal, Business, Government, or Education.


  3. What resources are available to me as a Reseller?

    4. The Partner Website is a great resource for finding product information, marketing and sales materials and training. Bluebeam’s Reseller Coordinator will provide you and your sales team with initial information and training to promote Bluebeam products. The Reseller Coordinator will also help develop marketing campaigns and materials for your use. Emails are distributed to Resellers on a regular basis announcing new products, promotions and policies.


  4. What marketing materials are available to me as a Reseller?

    5. Bluebeam Resellers are issued a username and password to access our Partner Website. Information is separated by product and includes items such as electronic brochures and pricing sheets, promotional copy, and logos and images to use on your company’s website. Bluebeam strongly encourages all Resellers to list Bluebeam product information, logos/images, and download links on their company websites.


  5. How do my customers download free trials from my company website?

    6. All Resellers receive a customized download link that can be distributed to prospective customers by email or posted on your company website. When a customer uses your link to download a free trial of software, they will be identified as your lead and will be forwarded to you for follow up.


  6. How does Bluebeam know whether a user that downloaded a trial from the Bluebeam website is my customer?

    7. Your customized download link contains a three digit source code that is specific to each Reseller. Leads that have your three digit source code are automatically identified as your leads and forwarded to you. Therefore it is important that you utilize and maintain these links.


  7. How do I submit an order to Bluebeam?

    8. Resellers can submit a purchase order by fax to 626.398.9210 or by email to partners@bluebeam.com.


  8. How long does it take to process an order?

    9. Purchase orders that are faxed or emailed to Bluebeam are usually processed within an hour (Though this time may be longer on weekends and U.S. holidays).


  9. How is Bluebeam software delivered to customers?

    10. All customers receive a digital license certificate with a serial number and product key to register their downloaded trial. The digital license certificate also contains a link to download the software if they need to reinstall for any reason. Bluebeam sends regular shipments of CD Roms to our Resellers to give to their customers that purchase our software. If a customer requests a CD Rom, and you do not have any CD Roms, Bluebeam will ship it directly to the customer for a small fee ($9.95/regular shipping, $14.95/ 2-day, $22.95/over night).


  10. Where can I find answers to my customer’s technical questions?

    11. Resellers should serve as a first line of support for their customers; however advanced technical questions can be email to support@bluebeam.com. Resellers should review our FAQs and technical articles under the Support tab on our website before referring customers to Bluebeam technical support.


  11. How do I handle technical questions from customers?

    12. If your customer has a technical question that you are unable to answer and if you can’t find the question in the FAQ section on our Support page, you should ask the customer to email their specific questions to support@bluebeam.com. A member of our experienced technical support team will provide your customer with the support they need.


  12. How do I know when new product information or new announcements are released?

    13. Bluebeam will distribute emails to Resellers when important product information is released. Resellers should also check the Partner Website on a regular basis for news, information, and product promotions.


  13. Who are Bluebeam’s customers?

    14. Bluebeam’s customers include top AEC firms, Law firms, Corporations, Government Agencies and Educational Institutions. Customer lists can be found on our website under the Industries tab.


  14. What are Bluebeam’s products?

    15. Bluebeam offers three products for CAD or Office users.
    • Bluebeam PDF Revu CAD Edition
    • Bluebeam PDF Revu Standard Edition
    • Bluebeam Conversion Server


  15. Which Autodesk® applications does Bluebeam PDF Revu CAD Edition work with?

    16. Bluebeam PDF Revu CAD Edition is a plug-in for AutoCAD 2000, 2000i, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 as well as all of the vertical applications built on these AutoCAD versions including Architectural Desktop, Land Development Desktop, Mechanical Desktop, Map, etc.


  16. Which versions of SolidWorks does Bluebeam PDF Revu CAD Edition work with?

    17. SolidWorks 2001, 2001plus, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.


  17. Which applications does Bluebeam PDF Revu Standard Edition work with?

    18. Microsoft Office 2000, XP, 2003, 2007 (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) AutoCAD LT 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.


  18. Does Bluebeam PDF Revu CAD Edition work with AutoCAD LT and Autodesk Inventor?

    19. Yes, Bluebeam PDF Revu CAD Edition includes the Bluebeam PDF printer. This Windows Printer Driver is tuned specifically to work well with both AutoCAD LT and Autodesk Inventor. The Bluebeam PDF printer found in Bluebeam PDF Revu CAD Edition allows users to convert drawings to one of eleven different file formats, PDF, DWF, TIF, JPG, BMP, PCL, PNG, PSD, GIF, EMF, and WMF.


  19. What is the difference between Bluebeam PDF Revu CAD Edition and "Save As PDF" in SolidWorks 2004?

    20. SolidWorks has chosen Bluebeam as its PDF conversion technology provider starting with SolidWorks 2004. SolidWorks 2004 customers can now save their SolidWorks files as PDF files quickly and easily with the built-in Bluebeam "Save As PDF" technology. Customers that upgrade to the full version of Bluebeam PDF Revu will be able to:
