OCR Module Failed

 

Summary

When attempting to use the OCR feature in Bluebeam PDF Revu eXtreme, an OCR module report dialog appears stating that the OCR module failed.

Problem

This may occur if Revu's OCR module encountered technical issues while installing or upgrading.

 

 

Solution

There are two solutions available.

 

  1. Reinstall Bluebeam PDF Revu 9 eXtreme

    • Go to Add/Remove Programs in your Windows Control Panel

    • Uninstall Bluebeam PDF Revu from your system

    • Reinstall Revu

    • Latest updates can be found at www.bluebeam.com/updates

     

  2. Reinstall the OCR Module into Revu

    • Close all Bluebeam applications

    • Click on the link that best describes the version you have installed:

    • Download and install this file

    • OCR should now work as expected when Revu is launched again
